between you and your doctor. For this reason, we are out of network with all insurances. Insurance often
limits appointment times, dictates treatment options, and creates unnecessary red tape that interferes
with providing the highest quality of care. By not accepting insurance, we can offer unrushed,
extended appointments, direct access to Dr. Kahan, and transparent pricing without surprise
bills or hidden costs. Additionally, most aesthetic treatments are not covered by insurance anyway,
which is why our direct care model allows you to receive both medical and aesthetic
care under one seamless experience. This approach lets us focus entirely on
your health and well-being—delivering personalized, proactive care without compromise.

If you’re like most patients, you must be frustrated with the traditional
healthcare system, especially in women’s health. Patients face long waits for appointments, only to end
up in a rushed 15-minute visit, leaving them feeling unheard. Often, they aren’t even seen by the

an insurance company. Your wellness and health are always the highest priority.
Plus, Dr. Kahan is double board-certified in
OBGYN as well as medical aesthetics, and is a Menopause
Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP). Where else can you get all of your women’s health,
wellness, and beauty needs addressed by one fully trained and qualified physician? Just

Absolutely! You can still be a patient at SheMD
without joining the membership. We offer fee-for-service options for those who do not need ongoing
care but still want extended, personalized visits with simple, transparent
pricing. This allows you to receive the care you need, when you need it, without a
membership commitment. However, we strongly recommend membership for the best value, including
priority booking, savings on aesthetics treatments, free phone calls and
messaging with Dr. Kahan, and more!

Even if you don’t have any serious women’s health issues, SheMD focuses on more
than just gynecology. Most of us have areas we’d like to improve—whether it’s managing stress,
optimizing hormonal health, enhancing our appearance, or simply achieving a better sense of well-being.
As we age, these concerns become more prominent.

happen during a one-size-fits-all, 15-minute annual visit or a one-time consultation. They require
unrushed, personalized care, consistent follow-up, and ongoing
treatment and maintenance. Given the sensitive nature of many women’s health concerns,
whether related to menopause, sexual dysfunction, or issues that impact confidence during the aging
process, our membership model is designed to foster long-term health
and confidence and create a comfortable, trusting relationship between you and
Dr. Kahan.
However, if you’re not in need of frequent visits or additional benefits but
still want extended, personalized care, SheMD also offers pay-per-visit options with
simple, transparent pricing. These fee-for-service visits provide longer
appointments with Dr. Kahan, without the long wait times—ensuring that your concerns are
fully addressed.
With her expertise in women’s health, hormone balancing, and medical aesthetics,
Dr. Kahan provides proactive care that helps you achieve your health goals and feel your best at every
stage of life.

As an office-based boutique practice, the focus is on in-office care rather than
operating room surgeries. Dr. Kahan offers minimally invasive procedures including biopsies, IUD
insertions, and colposcopies in the comfort and convenience of the office. For more complex surgical
needs, she collaborates with trusted specialists to provide you with the best care possible.

Your initial visit at SheMD is designed to ensure Dr. Kahan fully understands your unique needs to provide the best care possible. This 60 minute visit will begin with a comprehensive consultation covering all areas of your health, including gynecology, wellness, hormonal health, and aesthetic concerns. During this time, Dr. Kahan will assess whether ongoing support through membership might be the best fit for you, or if occasional fee-for-service visits are more appropriate. Together, we’ll outline a plan for future visits that aligns with your health and wellness goals. We will also proceed with the reason for your appointment during this initial visit, ensuring that all of your immediate concerns are thoroughly addressed.

The cost for the initial visit will depend on the visit reason:

Gynecology $450

Aesthetics consultation $150 (will be applied to the cost of treatment)

If you join as a member during that visit, the above fee will be applied towards your membership.

Yes, if you do have insurance you can still use it for prescriptions. For
certain compounded medications, we will help to find the best price options. You can also use your
insurance for tests such as Pap smears, blood tests, and outside imaging (mammograms, breast
ultrasounds, etc.).

We understand that healthcare expenses can add
up. That’s why while we accept all major credit cards and bank account payments, we also offer
financing through Cherry for healthcare costs over $1,000, allowing you to pay over time. We also
accept FSA/HSA payments (must have a credit card on file as a backup). As a courtesy, we can provide
you with a superbill to submit to your insurance for reimbursement if you have out-of-network
benefits, but we cannot guarantee reimbursement, nor can we adjust any diagnosis codes after the
superbill has been provided.

We understand that SheMD’s modern medical practice model is unique and different
than what you are used to, and so you may still have some questions. To help you decide if we’re the
right fit, we offer a free virtual “meet & greet” with Dr. Kahan. This gives you the opportunity
to learn more about our approach, ask questions, and determine if SheMD is the best choice for your
health and wellness journey.
