At SheMD, our mission is to deliver exceptional gynecology and medical aesthetics services to the vibrant communities of Little Neck and Douglaston in Queens, New York City, as well as the Great Neck area in Nassau County.
Founded in 2023 by board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist, Dr. Meryl E. Kahan, MD, FACOG, MSCP, SheMD is dedicated to providing women with compassionate and comprehensive care.
Dr. Kahan brings a wealth of training and experience to her role. She initiated her studies at Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts, and earned her medical degree from the State University of New York Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York.
Completing her residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Dr. Kahan worked in private and hospital-based practices before establishing SheMD.
While Dr. Kahan appreciates working with patients of all ages, she has a keen interest in addressing the unmet needs of women in perimenopause and beyond. As a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP), she specializes in menopause care, hormone therapy, and sexual dysfunction.
Recognizing the impact of self-image on wellness, Dr. Kahan, also board-certified in Aesthetics, offers a broad range of aesthetic treatments to address patients’ aesthetic goals.
SheMD prioritizes patient-centered care, where Dr. Kahan takes the time to understand each patient as a unique individual. These connections enable her to create personalized approaches tailored to each set of needs.
Wellness exams serve as the foundation for women’s health care at SheMD. These visits encompass Pap smears, screenings, and provide information to enhance overall health and wellness.
Services extend to the latest contraception options, menopause care, hormone therapy, and more, covering women’s needs from adolescence through adulthood, menopause, and beyond. SheMD also offers medical aesthetics, including Botox® and dermal fillers.
